THE ESBJERG PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE: all year

Designed by Jorn Utzon, who brought us the famous Sydney Opera House, the Esbjerg Performing Arts Centre is the largest cultural meeting place in the south west of Jutland. The centre's two main theatres provide a varied and exciting programme, with anything from Andrew Lloyd Webber's cult musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar' to operatic classics like Verdi's 'Rigoletto'. There's something for everyone, and the entertainment programme makes a point of featuring top quality national and international performers. Guided tours of the Centre are also possible in Danish, German and English.
