KOMISCHE OPERA, BERLIN: Season 2011-2012

VENUE

The Komische Opera building was built in 1892, and known as the 'Theatre Under den Linden'. Bombing during the Second World War completely destroyed the entrance hall and ceiling so it was rebuilt in 1946. The current theatre was established as the Komische (Comic) Oper, immitating the French Opéra Comique. Operas are only in German.
