HUNGARIAN STATE OPERA : SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS 2012
 

The operas and ballets of Budapest take place in one of the most beautiful monuments of the city, the "opera house." This historical monument was built between 1875 and 1884 and was paid for by the emperor Franz Joseph. But he wasn't very keen on the statues of composers such as Beethoven or Mozart, built by Miklós Ybl and the neo-Renaissance architecture.Today, however, you'll find the"opera house" is one of the most charming old buildings in Budapest and it's difficult to imagine that it was considered to be such a modern edifice when it was built.

The original story of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been turned into a modern ballet that will amaze you. Snow White, the beautiful daughter of the king goes to the woods where a man hired by her stepmother is waiting for her in order to kill her. However, the evil plan of the narcissistic queen falls apart when the killer decides to spare the life of the princess. She is forced to run away from her previous life to stay alive and escapes from the wrath of her stepmother. She runs until, out of breath, she finds a tiny house where she decides to rest. There, she meets the seven dwarfs who own the house and who let her stay. Her life could have been peaceful with the seven little men if her stepmother hadn't found out that the man she had hired to kill her stepdaughter hadn't finish the job...
