BERLIN HISTORICAL CENTER TOUR : FREE ATTRACTIONS

The Reichstag (a Parliament where was hold the Diet or the Assembly of the Empire -the Reichstag-, destroyed in 1933 and rebuilt afterwards, without its dome). S-Bahn / U-Bahn : Friedrichstrasse.

Branderburger Tor : The symbol of the City (this monument was even a part of the Berlin Wall). Near it is the the memorial of the Holocaust (opened every day from 10 am to 20 pm, except on mondays and on 1st January, 24-26 December, and 31 December). S-Bahn / U-Bahn : Friedrichstrasse.

Unter den Linden : the most famous avenue in Berlin with many monuments of the 17th and the 19th centuries. S-Bahn / U-Bahn : Friedrichstrasse

Friedrichstadtpassagen : Called 'street of thirst' during the WWII, it has become an exceptional place with luxury shops such as the Galeries Lafayette designed by Jean Nouvel, the 206 and the 205 Districts. U-Bahn : Französische Strasse
Gendarmenmarkt : one of the moste beautiful places in Berlin with monuments such as the german cathedral and the french cathedral. U-Bahn : Französische Strasse/Stadtmitte

Forum Fredericianum (BebelPlatz) : a group of monuments designed by Emperor Frederic the 2nd. In the same district you will find : the Versunkene Bibliothek, the Alte Bibliothek, the Skte Hedwigs-Kathedrale, the Deutsche Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Humbolt University (the most famous university in Berlin), and the small monument dedicated to the victims of fascism, the Neue Wache. U-Bahn : Französische Strasse.

Then if you go up the Unter den Linden avenue, you will find : the Fiedrichwerdersche Church, the Cathedrale of Berlin (Berliner Dom), and of course, the most famous place in Berlin : the Alexanderplatz (U-Bahn : Alexanderplatz) with the Sainte-Marie Church, the Television Tower (Fernsehturm), and the Red Town Hall southwards.

Near the town hall is the Saint-Nikolas District with the oldest church in Berlin (Sankt Nikolas), and the Knoblauch House.

Don't miss the Central Station (Hauptbanhof), which is the greatest station in Europe, a symbol of the german revival.
