The Musee Rodin in Paris boasts some of the artist's finest sculptures within a tranquil garden setting.
Opened in 1919, the Musée Rodin is dedicated to the works of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin and it contains some of his most famous works, including The Thinker, The Kiss and The Gates of Hell. The museum is noted for its beautiful gardens in which many of the sculptures are displayed, as well as a display of Rodin's own personal collection of art.
The museum collection includes over 6,000 sculptures, 8,000 drawings, old photographs and objets d'art. It has two sites, at the hotel Biron and surrounding gardens in central Paris and just outside Paris in Rodin's old home, the Villa des Brillants, in Meudon.
