Nice sandy beaches all the way east along the coastal road from the Old Port, not far away from parc Balnéaire du Prado, they are popular with the locals.
This is the largest sandy beach in Marseille usually jam packed with local families. There are many restaurants and bars to enjoy while gazing at the Mediterranean Sea, the Frioul islands and the bay of Marseille. A small port nearby offers many water activities such as sailing, diving, rowing, kayaking and more. When the wind gets up, you’ll see a lot of surfers.
