Lunch time comes with a set menu or à la carte options which include starters like Celeriac & truffle soup (£7.50) or octopus carpaccio, garlic oil and pickled radish (£10.00). The main courses range from vegetarian options such as polenta, woodland mushroom, kale and pecorino (£14.00) to the more daring calves’ liver, red wine onions and mash (£20.50).

The wine list starts with a glass of (red) Solerana Barrel-Aged Tempranillo DO Carinena 2010 and stretches to a bottle of (white) Bourgogne Blanc Vieilles Vignes.

If a traditional Afternoon tea catches your fancy, between three and five thirty you can get a simple Cream Tea or the far more copious Classic Afternoon Tea.

If you’d rather have a drink before or after visiting the gallery, try the Shenkman Bar, which serves cocktails and tasty bar snacks.

Don't forget to check out the high-tech loos before you leave this part of the RA "complex"
