Epicure, Restaurant, Paris

French chef Eric Frenchon, pastry chef Laurent Jeannin and sommelier Bernard Neveu are the triad at the helm of the restaurant Epicure, described as a ‘defender of French cuisine’.

The restaurant offers a carefully selected choice of fish, meat and seafood, alongside top-notch French cheeses that vary seasonally and are perfectly paired with bread and wine.

A seasonal menu is available for lunch at €145 and includes dishes such as sea scallops cooked in a broth of grey shrimps, button mushrooms, spring onions, sorrel and coriander oil, or John Dory “Little Fisherman’s Boat” breaded and cooked meunière style, served with a side of sautéed spinach and pine nuts, with tarragon zabaglione.

Mouth-watering desserts include pears poached with tonka bean and bergamot and crisp of Muscovado sugar, tropical fruits with caramelised pecans, Madagascar vanilla ice cream, and juice of passionfruit and pepper, or the slightly spicy Nyangbo chocolate.
