Colette, Concept Store, Paris: All Year -CLOSED DOWN

What Colette is best known for, and what shoppers will be most familiar with, is the shop's boutique section, which features an unrivalled range of new and upcoming fashion and accessories. However, nothing is exactly as you would expect at Collette, and owner Sarah Lerfel (who named the shop after her mother, Colette Roussaux) likes to keep the shop inventory new and exciting with a range of unexpected products, which can include anything from music to hi-tech gadgets to…scuba goggles? That’s right, you can come to Paris’s premier boutique to go shopping for your next underwater expedition, and while you’re at it, why not stop by its lower-level water bar and do some snorkelling?

That’s where things start to get really unique at Colette, because not only is it a top-notch fashion boutique, but it also features an innovative water bar and an active art gallery which hosts equally original exhibitions. Down below at the water bar, you can sample a range of 100-some different varieties of water served in unique ways while you grab lunch or a snack. On yet another level of the store, you can appreciate the works of city's hottest new artist in the shop’s renowned art gallery. After experiencing everything Colette has to offer, you can fully appreciate why this cult concept store has been unrivalled for so many years. It has the best in fashion (the boutique), design (the gallery), and taste (the bar), and not necessarily in that order.
