Come and visit the Museum of the Venice Palace to be fascinated with history!

The Venice Palace is a museum like no other! The Venice Palace was constructed in the 15th century for Cardinal Pietro Barbo.  The museum displays various types of art from the 13th to 18th century.  There are paintings and sculptures by Renaissance and Medieval artists.

The museum has about 30 different rooms to see.  Each room is dedicated to a specific region of Italy, a time period, or a specific type of art.  Some rooms that you don’t want to miss are Room 2 and Room 6.

Room 2 is dedicated to artwork from the region of Emilia Romagna in northern Italy.  Here you can see paintings from the 14th century to the 16th century.  These paintings are very interesting because they are created by artists that were not too famous during their day.  These paintings have influences from the traditional religious themes but also by the German culture which became a trend at the end of the 16th century.

Room 6 displays paintings on canvas from the 17th and 18th century.  Some of the most recognized works here are paintings by exceptional Italian baroque painters.  With each painting attracting you to admire its beauty, you will be amazed!

These two rooms are just the beginning!  You can discover amazing works of art as you explore the rest of the Museum!  You can discover the historical importance within the Museum of the Venice Palace with a small guided group tour or on your own!
