La Pepita, Restaurant, Barcelona

Tapas and small dishes, desserts and drinks are available at La Pepita, one of the hottest spots to eat in Barcelona!

The first thing you’ll notice about la Pepita is that the restaurant walls are full of happy customers’ signatures and messages. The second is the ‘pepitas’ on the menu:  a twist of the Spanish classic ‘Pepito’, which is usually a simple grilled pork and cheese baguette sandwich. Despite being the specialities of La Pepita,  which is usually he gastronomic offer of the place doesn’t stop there: tapas and small dishes, desserts and drinks are also available here, one of the hottest spots to eat in Gràcia.

The restaurant has a large bar (perfectly suited both for eating and drinking) and a smallish dining room with a few tables that are usually jam-packed with locals and tourists alike.

Unfortunately, they don’t take reservations, so try to get there early to make sure you get a table or proper space at the bar.

Divento recommends…

The very original ‘tapalatas’ (tapas served in a tin can), particularly the hummus, beetroot, cucumber and mint one, though the rest are pretty tasty too. Ideally, go there with a few friends and order several tapas so you can taste different dishes, and do order the ‘meravellós’, the ‘marvellous’ house Gin&Tonic.
