The Cartoon Museum, London

The Cartoon Museum, located in London, houses a gallery of British animation art.

There is nothing quite like British humour, so this little museum is well worth the detour. Offering cartoons, caricatures and comic art from the 18th century to the present, the Cartoon Museum exposes the irreverent side of British art and commentary. From childhood classics such as The Beano and The Dandy, to murals, political cartoons and even wacky inventions brought to life, this museum encompasses an incredible range of exhibits under the name of 'cartoon'.

The Young Artist's gallery has facilities for trying out your talent, and the Museum Shop is packed with graphic novels, signed copies, past catalogues and prints. Home of the Cartoon Art Trust awards, the Cartoon Museum is also fruitfully encouraging impertinence in the younger generation.
