Villa Bertramka, Prague

The principal residence of Mozart during two of his three visits to Prague in 1787 and 1791, Villa Bertramka is supposed to be where he finished composing Don Giovanni before its opening night in October 1787.

Today you can still visit the 17th-century villa, now a museum dedicated to Mozart and his close friends and hosts at their country home, Josefina and Frantisek Dušek. You can view an array of personal keepsakes and letters from the trio, as well as the actual piano played by Mozart during his visits to the villa.
