Like your tea out of mismatched china and your cakes garnished with rose petals? This quaint bruncherie is perfect for lovers of all things vintage and, sitting so snuggly on the street corner, it’s hard to believe it hasn’t been there forever. In fact, it was only established in 2015 but the owners have wasted no time decorating with an eclectic collection of books and pictures all set upon their distinctive flamingo wallpaper. With floral teacups and lace-edged tablecloths, think dainty decor without the dainty portions.

As is traditionally the case with Spanish brunches, poached eggs are the stars of the show and the menu boasts quite a selection in this department. I can personally vouch for the eggs benedict being delicious but if eggs aren’t to your taste then there’s the Ugot burger with halloumi. Alternatively, head over a bit later to sample their afternoon tea menu featuring scones, french toast and, in keeping with the vintage theme, miniature triangle sandwiches. And just as you wonder what more you could possibly want, prepare to be tempted by the spread of cakes conveniently placed at the counter. Probably even more successful that Teso’s chocolate by the check-out tactics, it would be a crime to leave without having tried something sweet.
