DDR Museum, Berlin

A museum dedicated to the experience of those living on the eastern side of the Berlin Wall.

This museum will immerse you in the lives of those living in East Germany during the Cold War (1947 to 1991).

Learn about the Ministry of State Security, known as the Stasi, and the measures they employed to keep control.

Experience everyday life and step inside authentic models of East German houses and schools.

The museum is very interactive, you can try on the typical clothes people wore, watch a German Democratic Republic (GDR) news report, and even take a virtual tour around East Berlin in a Trabant car.
