Highly recommended pescatarian restaurant in the centre of Bologna.
The slightly disconcertingly named ‘Clorofilla’ is in fact a fantastic pescatarian restaurant in the centre of Bologna’s historic centre. The restaurant is small and simple, with a section at street level and another slightly raised, creating an intimate atmosphere wherever you happen to be seated. The kitchen is half open, allowing you to see the chefs at work, while the highly professional waitresses maintain the delicate balance between comfortable familiarity and excellent service.
The food is very good, hearty, and not expensive. I started with a courgette parmigiana (6 euros) and finished with medley of tofu, lentils, beans and vegetables (10 euros) which were both delicate and satisfying, picked pretty much at random from the menu of the day. It is not fine dining, but if you are looking for a warm atmosphere to spend the evening in where English is also spoken, Clorofilla is highly recommended.
On Fridays and Saturdays the restaurant is usually booked out so book in advance to be sure of a relaxing meal.
