Mazel Tov is a Mediterranean and Israeli restaurant in Budapest’s charming Jewish quarter. Classy and laid back, you’ll find live music here, as well as great beers.
This Mediterranean and Israeli restaurant is an ideal summer pitstop, with a large courtyard and great selection of southern-themed dishes. Although beer and wine feature heavily, this is a classy place, more suited to a relaxed evening than a big do. The stag parties tend to go elsewhere.
Translated as “good luck”, some Mazel Tov highlights are Israeli merguez sausages and chicken shawarma. Labane is yoghurt cream cheese topped with olives and za’atar. Shakshuka is a classic here: tomato sauce, peppers and onions and cooked with eggs.
