An aura of Russia pervades this evening of dance combining two great repertoire classics and a creation. Tickets are available on Divento.com!
With Rhapsody, Frederick Ashton honours the classical tradition with a lively and colourful score by the composer Rachmaninov. For her first collaboration with the Opera, Sharon Eyal reinterprets an emblematic work of the Ballets Russes, L'Après-midi d'un faune, to music inspired by Debussy's mythical score. Returning since its last run in 1995, Nijinsky's The Rite of Spring features scenes from pagan Russia set to Stravinsky's spellbinding music.
