Panoramic 1453 Museum is the only museum where the entire hemisphere is exhibited, by including the sky in the picture, as well as the circular display of panoramic pictures. The work emerged after eight artists worked for three years allowing it to open in 2009.
The museum is divided into two parts, the entrance part and the part where the panoramic screen is located. In the introductory section, there are maps on the walls describing the Conquest of Istanbul with information about that period. The foundation, siege, and conquest of Istanbul, the life of Mehmet the Conqueror, law, art, civilisation, culture, and the building of Istanbul are told with original miniatures, engravings, and paintings.
There are reliefs on the walls of the section with stairs, which provide the transition to the panoramic section, showing ships setting out to sea.
Going into the panoramic section you will find yourself at dawn on May 29, 1453, when the conquest took place. You will experience a short-term shock: the sounds of cannon horses neighing, blood-curdling cries, and a war scene that surrounds you wherever you turn...
There are some hidden surprises inside the panorama: side portrait of Fatih, drawn with clouds in the sky, the name of one of the painters carved in Latin letters on the handle of an ax and a Byzantine soldier depicted in ancient Roman clothes among the soldiers.
After visiting the museum, you can take a tour of Turkey or Istanbul with a 3D helicopter enriched with realistic effects such as rain, snow and wind.
