The Palazzo Ducale (Doge's Palace) was built in Venetian Gothic style, and is the most visited "monument" of the city of Venice.
It is composed of layers of building elements and ornamentation, from its 14th and 15th century original foundations to the significant Renaissance and opulent Mannerist adjunctions. Each room holds you in awe, with its superbe paintings on the wall and ceilings.
