Liseberg, Gothenburg

Liseberg is an amusement park that opened in 1923. One of the most visited amusement parks in Scandinavia, it attracts about three million visitors annually.

There is so much more than what initially meets the eye alongside the dizzyingly colourful array of carousels, rollercoasters, and all manner of gravity-defying rides at this theme park.

Liseberg is also one of Sweden’s foremost music and arts venues, with the Grand Stage – there are five more! – having hosted some of the greatest names in music, including the Rolling Stones, Snoop Dogg and, of course, ABBA.

Just a short stroll away you’ll find relaxed restaurants, gardens and peaceful woodland if you want to hang around for a while longer.
