Aeroseum, Gothenburg

An aviation museum set in a decommissioned Cold War underground bunker.

For the fighter jet fanatics among us the Aeroseum, only a 20-minute drive north-west of Gothenburg, should prove fascinating.

Tucked away in a declassified Cold War underground bunker is an extensive collection of Swedish Air Force military hardware as well as exhibitions charting the history of flight, beginning at Icarus’ ill-fated attempt right up to today's most advanced aviation.

A host of hands-on experiences is also available, including sitting behind the joystick in eight  different simulators, being winched up into a helicopter and even courses to help you if you’re scared of flying.
