Biopalatset, Gothenburg

Anyone who has watched some nordic noir (Scandinavian crime fiction) recently may recognise the luminous red SF logos of the Swedish Film Industry outside Gothenburg’s “cinema palace”.

Opened in 1995 slap bang in the city centre, Biopalatset is a swish cinema complex of three  floors and 10 theatres with an old-fashioned feel of dimmed yellow wall lights, red carpets and plenty of popcorn.

A wide range of local and international films are shown, most often in the original language with Swedish subtitles.
