Casa Parlante Museum, Corfu

Slap bang in the centre of Corfu town, a few meters from Liston and Spianada Square, sits this historic 19th-century mansion.

The museum opened in 2014 and the name reflects the strong Italian cultural and architectural influence on Corfu. This can be seen in the 19th-century interior, furniture and clothing. Exhibitions are brought to life through animatronic figures which aim to recreate the everyday life of a noble family living in Corfu during the 19th-century. You can watch the Count reading the newspaper and the Countess welcoming guests for tea, listen to children playing music and smell the aromas of the cook's cuisine as well as many other scenes.
