Deene Park, Corby, Northamptonshire, England

Lived in by the Brudenell family since 1514, the history of the Deene estate goes back to the times before the Norman Conquest, when it was the property of the Abbey of Westminster. Built over six centuries, the house displays a mix of different styles, evolving from a medieval manor to a mansion with Tudor and Georgian features.

Several families and public figures have lived in the manor: Sir Ivo de Deene, the Colets and the Lyttons amongst them. In 1514, Sir Robert Brudenell bought the estate, which continued to be inherited by the male heirs of the Brudenell family. Edmund Brudenell opened the house to the public and was responsible, along with his wife, of the restoration of the house.

Deene Park houses a collection that includes Tudor Manuscripts, Old Masters, Family Portraits, porcelain and military memorabilia from the Crimean War.
