Renowned pastry chef Sébastien Bouillet sells some of Lyon's best macarons, pâtisserie and chocolates at his shops in La Croix-Rousse.
Lyon based Sébastien Bouillet is a renowned gourmet pastry chef who trained with some of France’s best pâtissiers, until eventually opening his shop in 1977. On one corner in Croix-Rousse are three separate Bouillet boutiques: one for chocolate, one for pâtisserie and cakes, and another with the best of both.
The latter is where they also sell some of the best macarons in Lyon, in a range of delicious flavours: from the classic chocolate to the more unusual caramel, ginger and lime. You can buy them in gift boxes in sets of four (€6.60), eight (€11.90), sixteen (€22.60), twenty-five (€33.80) or thirty-five (€46.80), and they can keep for up to four days in the fridge so you can buy them as a present to take back home.
They also sell various chocolate bars and boxes from €5.40, as well as their signature chocolate lipsticks for €6.80, which taste as amazing as they look.
If you can’t make up your mind, go for the box of four macarons, so you can taste several flavours for less than €10.
