Square in shape, the Battlefield Castle consists of two wings connected to each other by a gallery and the entrance. The style of the building remains classic, with stone and brick walls and a slate roof. But the elegance of its proportions and its play of colours make for a unique result.

The visit of the interior of the castle should succeed in immersing you in different periods. The lounges are indeed of Louis XIV, Louis XV or Louis XVI period. Let yourself be impressed by the woodwork. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see different rooms, from the dining room to the parade hall, through the different salons or the porcelain cabinet, presenting a magnificent collection of porcelain from China and Japan of the 17th and 18th centuries.

A highlight of the show, the gardens are oversized. Be sure to understand the conceptual dimension of this park, which seemed to be an impossible project. Jacques Garcia and Patrick Pottier have succeeded in their challenge to make us travel through eternity and the different degrees of human knowledge. The castle and terraces are there to represent the mineral world, while the plant life comes from the groves of the park. Fountains, Basins, Theatres, Temples... Each element of the park has a hidden meaning, which your curiosity will lead you to discover.
