A few minutes walking distance from the Deak Ferenc Metro stop, Gringos Amigos cna be found in the centre of the inner city. The restaurant is right next door to Retrock Vintage and just around the corner from Belvarosi Disznotoros, making it part of a fashionable neighbourhood of boutiques and eateries. 

Fast, affordable and mammoth portions; we're pretty certain that there's not a bad word to say about the food at Gringos.

The menu doesn't hold any surprises: you'll find everything you would expect and hope for at Mexican street food joint; all the classic favourites from quesadillas to loaded nachos, without any unexpected twists. The only pleasant surprise is the freedom of variety given to suit your flavour preferences: so if you prefer your nachos with extra garlic sauce, less tomato sauce or more of everything, don't feel shy about asking for it. What's more, the cheerful stuff are more than accommodating if you need to spend a few moments 'umm-ing' and 'ah-ing' over your choices, and despite it being "fast" food they don't rush you along or try to shoo you out of the place once you're done. 

If you only fancy a small bite for energy and aren't up to tackling a huge bowl of loaded nachos or a platter of chicken fajitas, the classic churros at Gringos are mouthwateringly good and more than manageable. Equally, if it's just a little refreshment you're after, ask for a refillable lemonade cup and help yourself to glass after glass of their tasty flavoured lemonades from the dispensers by the counter.
