U Fleků, Restaurant and Brewery, Prague

U Fleků was founded in 1499, making it the oldest brewery in Prague. Visitors can enjoy entertainment, traditional Czech cuisine and the classic Bohemian building.

This archaic Bohemian building, located in Prague’s New Town,  is the largest restaurant in the Czech Republic and the oldest Czech brewery still operating. From the beer garden to the Great Hall, it is worth exploring the whole U Fleků compound before settling down for some U Fleků dark lager, brewed on site, with some traditional Czech food.

Each hall in the compound is historically significant in its own right. For example, the Suitcase, which is the smallest hall, was the go-to meeting place for Prague journalists in the pre-War times, while the Academy hall - the most famous hall in the brewery - is decorated with paintings by guests through the ages.

Grab a tankard, keg or any of the many souvenirs sold at the gift shop, visit the on-site museum or take a tour of the brewery once you've had your meal to get the fullest experience of this unique brewery.
