This is archived material. It is for reference purposes only.

From the 16th February to the 10th June the Albertina celebrates the 300th anniversary of the Principality of Liechtenstein with an exhibition of the jewels of the princes' collections.

On the 23rd January 1719, Emperor Charles VI created the imperial principality of Liechtenstein. 300 years later, the Albertina in Vienna commemorates the event with a major exhibition that features works ranging from the famous Venus by Peter Paul Rubens to the life-sized bronze sculpture of Christ in Distress by Adriaen de Vriesor the bronze bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, as well as selected artistic treasures from the family’s world-famous collection of Biedermeier works.

This is the first time that many of the works belonging to the Princes of Liechtenstein's collections are exhibited in Vienna, which make this event an opportunity to see the collections’ most valuable works.
