Poison, Exhibition, Palais de la découverte, Paris: 10 October 2018-11 August 2019

This is archived material. It is for reference purposes only.

Thanks to the "Poison" exhibition, produced and directed by Grupo Atrox, from Spain, and enriched by Universcence, poison in its natural state will no longer hold any secrets for you.

Through 25 terrariums and paludariums, you will have the opportunity to observe reptiles, amphibians or arthropods, whether they are venomous (species secreting venom, then injecting it into the bodies of their victims), or poisonous (species also capable of secreting venom, but which can also concentrate all its poison in its body tissues).

But, fear not! Each species is in a vivarium specially created for it and closely linked to the degree of danger its poison possesses.

From snakes (western diamond rattlesnakes, cape cobra, Gabon viper, or black mamba), to frogs (Colombian kokoi, tree frog, or blue dendrobat) and spiders (black widow, mygale), the exhibition brings together a wide variety of species, allowing visitors to discover their origin, their different natural habitats, and their specific characteristics.
