Olafur Eliasson, Exhibition, Tate Modern, London: 11 July 2019 - 5 January 2020

After his  previous successes, Olafur Eliasson returns to Tate Modern. Most of the works on display have never been seen in the UK before.

Thanks to Eliasson’s captivating installations, you become more aware of your senses and of the world around you. Eliasson’s works have always been focused on social and environmental issues (Ice Watch 2018) and the show explores this side of the artist.

The exhibition will also maintain the already used themes of weather (The Weather Project, 2003) and colours: there will be a rainbow created from a punctured hosepipe, a disorienting tunnel of fog or a kaleidoscope of mirrors. You can also cast coloured shadows on the walls.

Eliasson doesn’t just provide “food for your thoughts” but also food for your body: the artist has created a menu that will be served at the Tate’s Terrace Bar inspired by the ethical and organic meals cooked in his Berlin studio.
