The third of April MAXXI presents the focus exhibition dedicated to ELISABETTA CATALANO. Tra immagine e performance (Between image and performance), which investigates the relationship between photography and performance. This exhibition includes portraits of incredible artists and writers like Joseph Beuys, Fabio Mauri, Vettor Pisani and Cesare Tacchi. These guides the visitor through a part of their performative process and their preparatory phases of performance art.
The exhibition features quite a mix of colour photos, vintage prints and amongst them documents that narrate the creative processess and their nature. The main focus lies in exploring the relationship between Catalanos photography and performance art.
