Maria Luisa Park, Seville

María Luisa Park is Seville’s top park.

The Park is adjacent to the famous Plaza de Espana and the Archaeological Museum and is made up, in part, of the gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo, donated by María Luisa (Duchess of Montpensier) in 1893, the construction of the Costurero de la Reina and a metal structure greenhouse.

In 1910, the park was chosen as the main site for the future Ibero-American Exhibition which took place in 1929.  The park is an oasis of tranquillity in Seville and, on hot days, it’s the perfect place to cool down, with its shaded paths, fountains and beautiful plantations of Mediterranean trees and colourful flowers.
