Punta della Dogana, Venice

Punta della Dogana was built in 1682 and was a customs house until the 80s. After being abandoned for 20 years ut was taken over by French industrialist Frençois Pinault who has turned it into a contemporary art space, along with the Palazzo Grassi.  It also refers to the triangular area of Venice where the Grand Canal meets the Giudecca Canal.
