Come to the Palatine Gallery for impressive art! The Palatine Gallery is located in Palazzo Pitti as one of the most valuable art collections in Florence. It all began as a small private collection from the Renaissance and seventeenth century owned by the Lorraine family. It was then acquired by the powerful Medici family.
The gallery was a unique charm due to the positioning of the art and alignment with each other. It gives the rooms a type of ancient and historical feeling through the stucco style. Today the museum has a vast collection of art by Raphael, Caravaggio, and Van Dyck. The highlight here is typically the works by Raphael, although each piece is interesting and unique!
