Florence Nightingale Museum, London

Biographical museum of the 'founder of modern nursing'.

This museum provides a biography of Florence Nightingale, 'founder of modern nursing' through personal artefacts, family photographs and written documents. This is contextualised by developments in medicine and historical events such as the Crimean War, and Nightingale's role in these times. There are frequent educational events, and the displays are vivid and engaging. The museum is situated within St Thomas' Hospital on the Southbank, where there is a range of other things to do and see.
