Benjamin Franklin House, London

The Benjamin Franklin House is a Georgian house in London, and is the American president's only residence still in existence.

The American president Benjamin Franklin lived in this house from 1757 to 1775. It is now the only one of his residences still in existence. Aside from his state duties, Franklin developed his academic and scientific interests here.

The Museum aims to focus on the varied acccomplishments of Franklin: the live performances of the Historical Experience allow visitors to get to know him as a politician, diplomat and philosopher while the interactive student Science Centre delves deep into his projects as scientist and inventor, providing an innovative, multi-sensory museum experience.

The museum is a particularly good day out for families and organises special visits for school parties.
