Situated in the spectacular neo-classical ‘Post-Office’ Palace, this museum has 60 exhibition rooms with over half a million pieces of Romanian history. It even holds the Romanian crown jewels, including the King’s crown and jewels belonging to Queen Marie. The permanent collection also has a plaster cast of the Trajan's Column and the Pietroasele Treasure. As well as its permanent exhibitions, there are temporary exhibitions in the grand Central Hall.
