Offering some of the best views of the grand Palace of Parliament, the land here was cleared by Nicolae Ceaușescu to make space for a conference hall. However, the regime was overthrown, so instead it became parkland. The park does not offer any one particular highlight, but nevertheless it is a popular place for a relaxing roam amongst the trees and a lounge on the soft grass for a bit of peace and quiet in the middle of the bustling city.
