A short walk from the FIFA museum, this botanical garden and park on Lake Zurich’s Northern shore opened in 1887, marking an important milestone in Zurich’s development from a town into a city.
Originally intended to provide a botanical education, there are lots of non-native plants here, each with a plaque explaining its origin, as well as an aviary. A panel at the lakeside also helps identify the Alpine peaks before you. But it's mostly used as a park, providing the perfect spot for a picnic, stroll or a dip in the lake from the pebbled beach.
