Zurich’s mini-mountain at the end of the Albis mountain chain, rises 870 meters above sea level, the lookout tower taking this to 900.
You can either take an hour-long hike or a train to reach the peak, where there are benches to take in the view and, of course, the lookout tower. You can get just over halfway up the tower for free then there’s a small charge to reach the very top. Either way, you’ll get a view of the city, the lake and the surrounding mountains. If the weather’s good you might even see Germany.
