St Andrew's Cathedral, Glasgow

Designed in 1814 by James Gillespie Graham, this Neo-Gothic cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Glasgow.

The building of the cathedral was most unwelcome with saboteurs who were against the reappearance of the Roman Catholic church in Glasgow, and tried to tear down the construction at night. Luckily, the cathedral overcame all opposition and was completed, and you can still view all the original artwork inside the cathedral and the beautiful cloister garden to this day.
