In the old Llanthony Warehouse in the centre of what was once Gloucester’s Docks, this museum tells the story of those who lived and worked on the site.
The museum’s collection forms the most comprehensive collection of artefacts and stories relating to Britain’s canals and navigable rivers over the last 300 years, consisting of over 12,000 objects, including 68 historic boats and the national waterways archive. You can discover how the waterways shaped the life of Gloucester and the people who travelled, repaired and used them.
