On the fourth floor of the luxurious residence of the Pasqualatihaus of Vienna, one can find the apartment in which musician and composer Ludwig van Beethoven lived in for eight years.

 

On the fourth floor of the luxurious residence of the Pasqualatihaus of Vienna, one can find the apartment in which musician and composer Ludwig van Beethoven lived in for eight years.

The building was constructed by Josef Benedikt Pasqualati in the course of the 18th century and housed many characters of prominence of the city.  Beethoven spent time there during one of the most intense periods of his career.

In these rooms Fidelio was created, a work that revealed soon enough a fiasco for the Viennese critic, at the point that Beethoven even believed to be the victim of a conspiracy against himself.  In the following years, he worked on the Symphony n. 4, reaching so much success of the artistic path.

In the Beethoven Pasqualatihaus one can also find many paintings and portraits depicting the famous composer.
