Haydnhaus, Vienna

The Haydnhaus (House of Haydn) was for a long time the official residence of composer Joseph Haydn.  After many years of traveling and performances to the fans of the Hungarian family of the Esterhàzi, Haydn settled down in this residence in the suburb of Vienna.

 

The Haydnhaus (House of Haydn) was for a long time the official residence of composer Joseph Haydn.  After many years of traveling and performances to the fans of the Hungarian family of the Esterhàzi, Haydn settled down in this residence in the suburb of Vienna.  Here he wrote many compositions and also the subject of La Creazione e Le Stagioni.

Haydn was a musician and composer, the most well known of Austrian music.

It even seems, that Napoleon, after having known of his serious illness, he sent an honor guard right in front of Haydn’s dwelling to express the admiration that fostered in the conflicts of the Austrian composer.
