The famous Viennese porcelain, characterized by lively colors and curated decorations until the very minimal details, reinvented itself to the Rococo style and was the most widespread of the time period of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

In 1923 the center of manufacturing these precious creations was moved inside the Augarten complex, within the gardens that surround the spectacular Augarten Palace.  In a building not far from the imperial residence, the manufacturing company Augarten Wien today still produces porcelain of value, following the ancient Viennese tradition.

There are also many collections of handmade objects and products of the factory located in the splendid cornice of the Augarten Gardens.  Here it is also possible to visit the museum of porcelain, that hosts many creations of the imperial time period and also unique pieces coming from China.
