The latest Hyundai Commission for Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall has been undertaken by Chilean artist Cecilia Vicuña

Cecilia Vicuña (b.1948) is a Chilean artist whose practice combines textile craft, poetry, performance, and painting to explore the pressing concerns of ecology, community and social justice. Perhaps best known for her radical textile sculptures combing natural materials and traditional craft, Vicuña seeks to preserve and pay tribute to her country’s indigenous history and culture.
