If you want to eat in comfort and style, don’t miss out on the Court Restaurant, under the magnificent dome with its striking interior of classical columns designed by Norman Foster.

Starters include grilled courgette, garden pea and tahini dressing (£6.75) and black mission figs, buffalo mozzarella and balsamic (£7.00). Main courses include Teriyaki Scottish salmon, bok choy and mango salsa (£14.50), or Cornish lamb chops, caponata and mint salsa verde (£17.00).

There’s a traditional cream tea at £8.50, served with two homemade scones, Devon clotted cream & strawberry preserve, or the full afternoon tea for £19.50 which includes,in addition to the above, finger sandwiches and a selection of pastries. The tea menu also features a variety of puddings, liqueur coffees, sweet wines and home-made cakes.

If you’re in a hurry but want a quick break in an informal setting, the Court Café is for you with its snacks, salads, cakes, and hot and cold drinks, or try The Gallery Café which serves pasta, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts and drinks, all in a family-friendly atmosphere.
