Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery, Nantes

As the most active slave-trading port in 18th century France, the city of Nantes created a monument to paye tribute to those who fought  against slavery. 

This monument showcases transatlantic slave-trade in its historical context with maps, statistics, geographical information and past and present struggles of this issue.
